I needed another car and my friend Kevin had a Chevy Vega. Cute car but the little 4 banger wasn’t for me. I happened to see a Chevy Monza in the paper. I figure I could build a Spyder replica. I got a 6 pack from a old corvette and dropped it in. I made skid plates that went from the front cross member to the trans cross member to help survive the city streets. I got a chance to race a 928 and kept him behind me all the way up to 165 MPH ! Burnouts were equally fun since the car was light and powerful enough to smoke the tires for a full block.
