12/29/2005: "Time to make the internet!"

Ok, so day four is being rather boring as well. For now I have Al sitting next to me playing the UT 2004 demo cause there's not much else to do, and I'm looking more into this idea of making a DooM wad. I think I have the general layout of how the set should work, and it even fits into the 8 (+ 1 secret) levels scheme of the origional. We start out in the underground lab complex, then you need to take the elevator system up to the ground floor, take a run across the open feild to the high rise, fight through the first floor there, then to the main core floor(s), and then a final battle on the roof. I think it works. As for the secret level, as an homage to peoples and things and legacys, it will be shaped like a bunny.

So I have 3 or 4 levels I have planed out, but that leaves a good maybe 5 levels I have no clue on. I'm thinking I should get Tim to make me a plan for the undergound complex level, since he's good with that dirty underground stuff, and then Ryan or mike or whoever could try for the upper levels. And even if no one else could make the actuall levels, once I have desgins to work off of I think we'll be allright. I still have to see what it's like to actually work in these editing programs of course, but it really can't be that hard. I've done UT maps, and this is some lower tech stuff. we could work on monsters and stuff later.

Now, if people would only show up. We have to have all the computer systems down by 3:30 because all the power will be turned off tomarrow so they can fix the elevators, and so we need to make sure the computers stay safe. That doesn't nessissairly mean that we're gonna be done and out of here come 4:00 though, because in actuality a majority of our work at the moment is more like construstion to make sure that all the computers and monitors are where they need to be. The building needs to be ready by like the 11th I think because there's gonna be this big ceremony with the NY govenment and stuff. Earlier, I was walking around with a grinder making a lot of sparks on 4 different floors. But since then everyone's gone to get more things to work with and until they get back here we have nothing to do really.

It's allright though. I get to look on the internet. We still have no internet at my uncle's apartement. It got so bad last night that I had to make some of my own! I shit you not. As it turns out, I can make a pretty bitchin looking site using nothing but MSpaint and notepad. Let's see you do that, smarty pants. But of course now that got me thinking back to my site and redesgins...So now I have some more PSing to work on when I get home. I have like 8 buttons I want to add to the main page along with some more tables and, um...adding a new comic I guess... But more on that later.
