11/13/2005: "Dancing is forbidden."

Okay, let me see here...

SWAT Kats, Samuari Pizza Cats, Road Rovers, Johnny Quest, The Super Mario Brothers Show, Mega Man, The Lionheats, Gladiators 2000, Reboot, and...Well, that's all I can think of at the moment. Those are a lot of the shows that I used to watch and love, but now they're off the air. If ya ever see them on DVD somewhere, give me a heads up. Or just buy it for me. That would be neat.

But the thing that I was actually thinking about was people who have things to do. People fall back on that one saying, which is one of those sayings that are really stupid but people say anyway. "There's not enough hours in a day". There's a set number of hours in a day. And by the time you have matured to the point where you become stresed and get what that saying means, you should realllly have a grasp on how long a day is. And honestly, if you know how long a day is, then you should really plan accordingly. You're stupid if you can't.

It makes me think of the people who do wayyyy to much stuff durring their day. Like, they have a different afterschool thing every day, go home to orchestra and acting and a congressional hearing, and then they still have to go to work for a few hours and then still have to do their homework. Sleep is something that you can't do more then hope for.

Yeah, I kinda get it. There's that whole thing about getting experience in life, and something what colleges like to see on aplications, and I don't even know. I'm all for life experiences, but you know, life is long. I think it would be better to find a few things to actually spend time to enjoy. Yeah, get out there and find out what you like, but know when you need rest. Ballance! Like I've been talking about.

Then of course, there's another reason that I think is a factor, even if it's one some people don't know about. I get it tho, because the more unused time you have, then the more time you have to think about thinks. Yeah, I usually advocate thinking, and I still do, but it depends I guess. There's a difference. There's the productive thinking where you think through things and come up with answers and you feel better afterwards and you become a better person and all that. The other type would have to be just like moping, and thinking in the worse sense of things and all you do is feel worse and nothing happens.

So how do get the former and not the latter to happen? Hmm? Well, you need to get a different point of view on things. And, um, yeah, you get that by doing things and talking to people and things like that. Well, I never said doing that was bad. It's just what you do and how often. For the one, parties still suck a lot, because of two things: One, I've noticed that one of the first things that happen when 3 or more people get together, brains...turn off. It works well as an escape from having to think about anything other then whatever music is playing at the moment, or who just fell out of a chair or whatever, but it's not bringing any revalations or anything. At least not till later on, but then it may not be a good thing... 2, any parties where alchol (I'm not saying every one is like that, but you must admit, alot of them are. Espically the ones I'm talking about.) is involved, then even stupider things happen and worse results occur. So...that really is just an excuse to turn off the brain. As far as I can tell, the only time that things happen that help situations, is when you have one of those pointless things that happen on your own, like climbing a mountain or some shit, or you have some one on one time with people. Those are usually more...better at making things happen. So, you gotta do thinks that make you think, or get ideas that make you think, and then you gotta have time to think. Stop doing so much shit. It's not healthy for your physical state either.

Well, that's what I have so far.

On another note that has no relavance to anyone's actually lives, I finally finished Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time (Did I finally spell it right? I still won't try to say it). Now I can have an opinion of it and be validated. Honestly, I liked it. It was a little repetitive as far as objective wise goes (Go around and get these 3 things and bring them back, now pick this up and go find these 6 things. Got them? Now go to these 6 places before you can go on. Done? Good. Now go up and kill whatever's there. The end.). But it is a large play area, interactions, side missions, and it's actually pretty good story wise. Drama is good, but I dunno...the drama isn't like, dramatic enough. Still, items, flow, time travel, swords, fire arrows, and shit blowing up a whole lot. All esential elements to a great video game. The way you jump always set me off to it, but I must say, it actually flows really well for the game, and helps with the whole puzzle element. I do love puzzles. Also, I was a fan of the older Zeldas to, in much the same "love it but can't admit it" fashion. The SNES and GBC ones espically. The thing I don't like about a game like this is like when they don't make it clear enough where to go next. I was not aware I could go BACK TO BEING YOUNG LINK. Not until I checked IGN's guide at least. Once I was let on to that key peice of information, I didn't need it again until the shaddow barrier, cause I don't know if there was a way to get that without the fire arrows, and I had no ideas about those. I don't mind making it to the end without doing everything possible. Espically when I'm playing on barrowed time- er, equipment. Whatev. But yeah, it gets the LCOM SEAL OF APPROVAL. Honestly, it would be no contest if they had done this game with the FFVII setting. That's the only reason I want to play that game, btw. maybe if I put both discs in at once... Oh, and I guess Kingdom Hearts should be on my list, since I don't like RPG's but people say it's bitchin'.

While I'm at it, Star Fox Assualt also gets the LCOM SEAL OF APPROVAL. I always liked this serries, and this installment is no different. They even managed to make it better then a lot of other things. You have your standard space fighter levels, which I love, then you have levels with running in a very well done third person setup, which relaly feels just like any other FPS, but it's still simple and fun and frantic enough to be fun. Plus, there's enough weapons to keep you happy, and you can jump into a tank and start blowing stuff up at anytime, and even jump in an arwing and take to the skies. it really feels like three games in one. Even the rail shooter stages where you're riding on a wing of somone else's ship are fun. And the thing that makes all these parts even better, is the sheer sensation of scale the game has. Even if the maps are a bit crapmed, you can't tell, and while you're on the ground shooing things, shit's still going on over head, there's people in other section shooting shit, and just the instant switch from running to flying is incredible. you're flying over head, and you clear the skies with expanse below you, then you land and focus on the ground battle. It's amazing. It really is. I only wish I had a chance to try the multiplayer in it, but I don't think I'll be able to. Only thing I have to say bad is the dialouge/voice acting, but honestly, it's not laughable. This is the best Star Fox game yet, and one of the best games I've ever played, period.

So yeah, I've got a couple of things to do. I had a revelation talk yesterday, and thinking time afterwards, plus more thinking for a few days before, so I'mm ago do those mind off things. Before I explode.
