06/17/2005: "We have begun."

I would like to show you a recent example of my powers of exception to the rules.

Those of you who saw me limping on tuesday or wensday are obviously aware that I fucked up my foot. As it turned out, I did not break it, but I did get an afliction called "Turf Toe". This is usually obtained from the abrupt strating, stoping, turning, and general foot bending of athletes who play games on turf, where the soft tissue above the toe joint gets pinched and swells up and hurts.

I, a lazy slacker, got an athletic injury.

Exception to the rules.

Aside from that, summer is here anyway. Time to forget everything I learned this year in school. Well, not quite yet, seeing as how theres still a week of regents/finals left to go. But its good practice for the absent state of mind which must be adopted to get the most out of the summer. Me, I bought 3 new games. Well, not new really. They're PS1 games. Wipeout 3, the Playstation cousin to F-Zero, seems to be great. A little unweildy untill you learn what's what, and theres only 4 tracks and cars to start with. But it's defnetly a sped game, so it gets props. Street Fighter EX2 Plus is one of the Street Fighter franchises ventures into the third dimention. Not the best thing in the world, but it works. Stick with DOA2 tho. TOMBA is one the best platforming sidescrolers I have ever played. A demo of it came on a sampler disc that came with my Playstation, and I have loved it since that point. LCom Seal of Approval out the wazoo on that one. If you haven't played it, play it. Or die.

Yeah...art thing sunday. I leave for the NYSSSA July 3rd. Wish me luck.
