05/31/2005: "Not lazy, just "selectively enthusiastic"."

...AKA "the return of OWFUCKMYEAR". Yeah, I got another ear infection. It sucks. Even the doktor when holy crap when he looked in there. The first day I had it my professional medical diagnosis was that I had a gnome in my head that was pounding on my forehead and eyes with his mighty hammer. The doktor told me it was something else, but I wasn't listening. BECAUSE I WAS FUCKING DEAF IN THAT EAR AT THE TIME. So he put me on a buncha meds, and now I'm doing a little better.

And it was funny cause the title I put on the last blog was meant to remind me what I wanted to talk about, then I totally forgot. My bad. But it was a kinda cool topic. It was about how the body is an amazing thing, with the way it's fragile enough to be squished and broken and becomed sick and stuff. At the same time, it has ways to fix itself. My ear got infected, so the ear swelled and I got a fever and I got real tired and it hurt. The swelling was to increase blood flow there, to allow more white blood cells in. The fever works on the same idea as when you cook meat. The body increases the internal temerature to try and kill everything bad with heat. I got tired cause that way my energy was saved for better disease fighting, and I felt pain just to let my brain know that some shit was hitting the fan in my general ear area. It's really an amazing system.

So I was out today, and I'll be out tomarrow, but that's only because my ear still leaves me in agonizing pain that keeps me awake at night, wondering why the hell it's always my damn ear. So I'll be spending my time growing my beard, and moaning quietly. If the amount of drugs I have been given is any clue, I'll be back up and running by...regents week. Damnit.
